AND ENDOW THEM WITH PURPOSE.

88 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SLAUGHTERED

IN MASS MASSACRES WITH ASSAULT WEAPONS

THIS YEAR ALONE.

OH AMERICA, WHEN WILL WE WAKE UP?

OUR CONSTITUTION GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS,

TO POSSESS A FIREARM AND TO USE SUCH ARM

FOR TRADITIONALLY LAWFUL PURPOSES

SUCH AS SELF-DEFENSE WITHIN THE HOME.

IT DOES NOT GIVE US THE RIGHT TO WALK AROUND

WITH HANDGUNS THAT HAVE THE CAPACITY TO KILL

A DOZEN PEOPLE IN A FEW SECONDS.

IT DOES NOT GIVE US THE RIGHT

TO FIRE WEAPONS OF WAR AS A HOBBY.

IT DOES NOT GIVE US THE RIGHT

TO PUT WEAPONS OF WAR INTO THE HANDS OF FOOLS AND MADMEN.

A CANCER GROWS IN OUR SOUL AMERICA,

IN WHICH THE WEAK EQUATE GUNS WITH PERSONAL POWER,

AND THE RIGHT TO OWN A GUN IS OF MORE VALUE THAN THE RIGHT OF A CHILD TO LIVE.

YOU DO NOT NEED AN ASSAULT RIFLE TO DEFEND YOURSELF.

IF YOU GIVE YOURSELF THE RIGHT TO PLAY

AT SHOOTING WEAPONS OF WAR, ENJOYING

THE POWER IN YOUR HANDS, BE ASSURED

THAT EVENTUALLY,

THE WEAK AND THE MAD WILL INDULGE THEMSELVES AS WELL.

WHY DO WE TRUST THEM TO REIN IN THEIR TEMPERS

IN THE FACE OF UNKINDNESS OR OTHER STRESSORS?

IS YOUR ENJOYMENT OF YOUR BUSHMASTER .223 ASSAULT RIFLE

WORTH THE LIVES OF THE 26 HUMAN BEINGS

WHO WERE RIPPED APART LAST FRIDAY?

IF YOU THINK DESENSITIZING YOUR YOUNG TO MURDER

DOESN’T LEAD DIRECTLY TO THESE MASSACRES.

YOUR NEARSIGHTED DEFENSE OF YOUR UNLIMITED RIGHT

TO BEAR ARMS MAKES YOU AS WRONG-HEARTED AS THE TALIBAN

WHO MURDER WOMEN FOR WANTING TO LEARN TO READ,

AS SICK AND DELUDED AS THE NAZIS WHO MURDERED MILLIONS OF JEWS,

OR ANY OF THE OTHER OPPRESSORS AGAINST WHOM

WE’VE RIGHTEOUSLY RAISED OUR ARMS AGAINST IN WAR.
